ABOUT US

The Bridgetown Repertory Club is a volunteer-run community theatre dedicated to celebrating creativity, connection, and local talent. Established in 1932, it has been a cornerstone of Bridgetown’s cultural life for over 90 years, producing plays, concerts, and events that bring people together. Based in the historic Bridgetown Repertory Theatre, the Club continues to foster a welcoming space for performers, audiences, and volunteers to share in the joy of live performance.

MAIN SEASON

Each year, the Bridgetown Repertory Club aims to stage four main productions across a variety of genres — from classic dramas and comedies to contemporary works, musicals, and our much-loved Christmas pantomime. Our program aims to entertain, challenge, and inspire audiences while providing opportunities for local performers, directors, and backstage crew to develop their skills.

YOUTH SEASON

The Bridgetown Repertory Club runs active youth programs for a range of ages, including Bridgetown Youth Theatre (BYT) for high-school students and Kids Acting On Stage (KAOS) for primary school children. These weekly workshops teach acting, stagecraft and performance skills, and regularly feed young performers into our mainstage productions and community events. BYT and KAOS are volunteer-run, affordable, and designed to build confidence, teamwork and a lifelong love of theatre.
