From its first curtain call in 1932 to today’s lively productions, the Bridgetown Repertory Club remains one of the longest continuously running community theatre groups in Western Australia. Every show, every volunteer, and every audience member plays a part in keeping that legacy alive.
The Bridgetown Repertory Theatre is a historic 165-seat venue in the heart of Bridgetown, Western Australia. It’s ideal for plays, concerts, film nights, and community events. The theatre features tiered seating, a well-equipped stage, backstage dressing rooms, and a cosy foyer with bar facilities.
Founded on 8 May 1932, the Bridgetown Repertory Club has been a cornerstone of local performing arts for over 90 years. What began as twelve theatre enthusiasts soon became a thriving volunteer-run organisation dedicated to creativity, connection, and community. Even during World War II, the Club kept performing, lifting spirits and raising funds for local causes.
